Good morning.   The committee is meeting today for consideration of H.R.  2505, to block the use of transatlantic technology in Iranian Main Drones Act.  H.R.  4233, the AUKUS Reform for Military Optimization and Review Act.  H.R.  4216, the Made in America Defense Act.  H.R.  4215, the International Traffic and Arms Regulations Licensing Reform Act.   HR 1144, the Frederick Douglass Trafficking Victims Prevention and Protection Reauthorization Act of 2025.  HR 4490, the Providing Appropriate Recognition and Treatment Needed to Enhance Relations Act.  HR 3429, the U.S.-Japan Republic of Korea Trilateral Cooperation Act.  HR 4335, the Abraham Accords Defense Against Terrorism Act.   H.R.  3068, the Missile Technology Control Revision Act.  H.R.  3613, the Streamlining Foreign Military Sales Act of 2025.  H.R.  2633, the U.S.-South Africa Bilateral Relations Review Act of 2025.  And H.R.  4140, the Burma Genocide Accountability and Protection Act.  I announce that any requests for recorded votes may be rolled and I may recess the committee at any point without objection.  So ordered.   Pursuant to House rules, I request that members have the opportunity to submit views for any committee report that may be produced on any of today's measures.  And again, without objection, so ordered.   I want to take a moment just to make a separate announcement on the operations of the committee and the committee moving forward as it relates to amendments.  With the goal of trying to make this committee more paperless if possible, as hopefully all members are aware, markups now have an option to submit amendments electronically.  At the markup of the State Authorization Act in less than two months, we expect hundreds of amendments.  So this becomes far more important when you're dealing with hundreds of amendments.  A lot of work occurs behind the scenes if members are not aware.
for all of those amendments, jurisdictional review, technical assistance, budget impact, an opportunity to modify the language to fix any problems or issues with those needs to take place.  So to incentivize submitting amendments early enough for that due diligence to occur and incentivize getting members to do it paperlessly,   We're going to ask that this committee, that individuals submit that 48 hours in advance.  That's the goal.  This committee will waive the requirement for the sponsor to provide a paper copy if that takes place, if the amendment is electronically submitted 48 hours prior to gavel.   Moving forward, amendments submitted before the 48-hour deadline will be digitally distributed to members during markups.  That's a process that we're working through with all of you to make sure that we have the appropriate contact for you, email, text, whatever it is that you want to receive that in a paperless fashion.  We can save a few trees in way of conducting it in that way.  For today's markup, no amendments were submitted by the 48-hour deadline.  Therefore, any member offering an amendment...   expected to bring their own 70 copies that is the incentive that we give to make you do this paper of this in a paperless way make you bring your own copies instead of us doing all the printout for you and that let's move forward pursuant to notice I now call up HR 2505 the block the use of transatlantic technology and Iranian made drones act the bill was circulated in advance and the clerk shall designate the bill
